MY RESOLUTIONS

I know it's almost February but...did you write your New Year Resolutions? Some people do and they try to fulfil them (at least, until March). So, it's your turn. What are your resolutions? Write them down and we'll discuss them in class.

MERRY XMAS!

Merry Xmas!!!
I want to show you another interesting webpage to develop your listening comprehension. It's a place where you can hear the song and, at the same time, you can write the words they ask you.
To begin, I suggest to start with the beginner level. I'm sure you'll be able to reach advanced level soon. Try and tell me :)

Some revision

Hi everyone!
Today, I want to make you think and search. I suggest you two activities to review some topics we've been working on in this term.

The first one is a wordgrid about some important words that have been appearing in the book that we are reading in class. They are related to Great Britain. In this way, you will practise for your next test in January. When finding them, try to think of their meaning.

In class, we have been working with FALSE FRIENDS all this term. Remember that you've got a list of them at the end of your notebook.
I find it interesting to add more, since it's useful not to get confussed with important words. I want you to do three things:
1. Copy all the words you find here in one column
2. In a second column, write the meaning you may think it has (for instance: arm = arma).
3. In a third column, write the meaning, the real one.

In this way, you'll see the differences clearly. Come on, try it!

British Royal Family

This week, we've started a new book called "All About Britain". We are discovering lots of interesting and shocking facts about Great Britain.
Perhaps, the most surprising part has been the British Royal Family. Actually, it's the chapter in which all of you have been asking me questions all the time! Well, as I told you, the Queen is the most influential person in GB. She has a really important role in the country.

She is in her eighties, but as you can see in the photo she looks like a younger woman.
Have in mind that her husband is not King, but Duke and he does not appear so often.
If you are interested in this monarchy, you could investigate and tell us everything in class :).
I leave you a photo  of Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh.
Have a nice weekend!
